Add media to a post

Attach images and video to a post, and manage your media library.

Posts can carry images and MP4 video. Attach them right in the composer, or prepare them ahead of time in the media library.

Add media in the composer

Under the editor, click Add media:

  • Upload from device — pick images or MP4 video from your computer.
  • Open media library — attach something already in your workspace.
  • Design Media — create a visual in the built-in design editor.
  • Gallery — your recent items sit right in the menu for one-click attach.

You can also just drag files straight into the editor.

Platform limits

Each platform allows a different amount and type of media. An item can show Media limit reached or Not compatible for a channel — validation flags this before you schedule.

Design Media

Design Media (in the Add media menu and the media library) opens a full design workspace in the browser:

  • Start from a template or a blank canvas, and resize for any format.
  • Add text, stock photos (via Unsplash), elements, and freehand drawings; layer and reposition everything.
  • Pull images in from your media library, upload one, or generate one with AI Image.

When it looks right, click Export design — the result lands in your media library like any other asset, ready to attach.

The media library

Open Media in the sidebar to manage the workspace behind that dialog: search by file name, filter images/video, switch grid and list views, preview, and delete. Edit details adds alt text — and for video, a thumbnail from a chosen frame. These details travel with the asset wherever it's reused.

To add new assets from here:

  • Upload files — images up to 10 MB, MP4 video up to 1 GB, several at once.
  • Import URL — safely download a public image or MP4. Private addresses, unsafe redirects, and oversized files are rejected.
  • Generate image / video / slides — create media with AI. See AI content and media.
