Short links & click tracking
Turn post URLs into tracked short links and see what gets clicked.
EveryFeed can replace the URLs in your posts with short links — every click is counted, and the numbers land on your dashboard's Link clicks card and Link click performance panel.
Set the organization policy
Organization admins choose how shortening behaves under Settings → Publishing:
| Policy | Composer behavior |
|---|---|
| Ask each time | The composer shows an editable Shorten URLs toggle. |
| Always shorten | Shortening is on and locked for every post. |
| Never shorten | Original URLs are always kept; the toggle is locked off. |
The policy is enforced when posts are created or updated — an older client or API call can't bypass it.
In the composer
With the Ask each time policy, tick Shorten URLs in the composer footer before scheduling. Links in the post copy are replaced with their short versions when the post goes out.
Reading the numbers
Click analytics appear once a shortened link starts receiving traffic. Each link shows its original URL and click count on the dashboard.
Clicks are collected independently from publishing — a link with no analytics yet doesn't mean the post failed.
